MHA will be hosting a Night at the Races during the annual Cash Bash event. It will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the WV National Guard Morgantown Readiness Center.
Note: For those of you with children on any of our Blades or Mohawks teams, and those with children that are 7 and older in our Developmental House Program, you paid for 2 tickets ($50 total) to the event when you registered, and will received those tickets at a later date. For those families of our younger skaters, that did not purchase tickets already, you are welcome to attend as well. Tickets will be available for $25 each.
Information Update (12/3/2019)
The Cash Bash Committee is in the process of distributing prepurchased tickets to each family registered with MHA. When you registered your skater(s) for the 2019-20 hockey year, you paid a fundraiser fee of $50 per family. This fee purchased two Cash Bash tickets for your family. Distribution for these prepurchased tickets will be through your team manager (travel) or representative (developmental only skaters) and you should be receiving them during scheduled practices over the next couple weeks. When you receive these, please fill out the ticket stub and place in "ticket stub" box located on the counter at the rink. If we do not receive the stub back, the ticket will be registered to the adult listed on the skaters account. If you choose to sell your tickets to other individuals, it is important that we receive the stub back to have the appropriate contact information should that ticket win a cash prize. Also, in addition, we ask that you return your prepurchased ticket stubs because, in efforts to estimate food and beverage for the evening, we have added a box to check on each ticket stub if you intend or do not intend on attending the event March 20, 2020.
We also have additional tickets for sale. Our goal is to sell all 1000 tickets. The prizes listed on the tickets are the minimum cash prizes so the more tickets we can sell, the higher the cash prizes! For each additional ticket you purchase or sell, you will receive a $5 credit to your MHA account for next hockey season. The Cash Bash Committee will be releasing tickets in lots of 10. As you sell 10, we ask that you turn in the stubs and money at that time. At that point, you can get an additional 10 tickets if you wish. Taking this approach allows us to manage ticket sales more closely to be able to better estimate prizes and catering needs in advance. The tickets will be released on a first come first serve basis.
In addition to the $25 Cash Bash Ticket, you have the opportunity to buy/sell "horses" for the Night at the Races event that will be running during the Cash Bash event. Tickets are $10 a ticket or $75 for 8 (a table). With each ticket, you are reserving a seat or table at the race event (no worries - there will be plenty of seating for the Cash Bash) and you are naming a horse when returning your ticket stub. We must receive the stubs back as this is our only way of knowing who "owns" each horse. If your horse wins a race, you win! Tickets are limited so first come, first serve! If you do not get to purchase a horse (ticket), you are still able to place bets on each race at the event!
